Supervision and Mentoring

At Violet & Retta, supervision and mentoring create supportive, reflective spaces for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to pause, reflect and strengthen their practice. Our approach is grounded in lived experience, respect and an understanding of the cultural, professional and emotional contexts people work within.

Supervision is not about performance management or compliance. It is about care, reflection, accountability and sustainability, supporting people to do their work well while maintaining wellbeing.

What we offer

  • Cultural supervision provides a culturally informed and safe space to explore identity, cultural/colonial load, workplace experiences and practice. It supports both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people working in culturally complex or community-facing roles.

  • External supervision offers an independent, confidential space to reflect on professional practice, decision-making, boundaries and wellbeing, separate from internal organisational structures.

  • Mentoring provides guidance and shared learning through relationship and experience. It supports people to navigate roles, challenges and growth in a way that is practical, respectful and strengths-based.

Delivery

Supervision and mentoring can be delivered one-on-one or in group settings and are tailored to individual, team or organisational needs.
